Clams Casino

A few weeks ago my mom, my sister, and I went to Boston to meet our family friend. While there we went to amazing restaurants with great seafood. But this one restaurant near Fenway Park had some of the best clams casino I have ever had. They had so much bacon in them and were very buttery and the clams were cooked just right. So today I made my own clams casino because of the inspiration I got from this restaurant. I hope you enjoy my clams casino and comment below for any new recipe ideas or about the clams casino!

Ingredients
12 large clams
4 slices bacon
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup onion
1/4 cup white wine
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon parsley
2 garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Pre heat the oven to broil, and clean the clams and line them up on a baking sheet.

Put the clams in the oven for about 3-4 minutes or until the clams open.

Cook the chopped bacon in a frying pan until the bacon is crisp.

In the bacon fat cook the chopped onions and garlic until the onions are translucent.

Then put the bacon, onions, and garlic into a bowl and add the breadcrumbs, white wine, and olive oil and combine. To the mixture add the red pepper flakes, parsley, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the mixture and mix together.

Rip the top shell of the clams off and stuff them with the stuffing and put into a baking dish.

Cook the clams for about 10 minutes our until golden brown then plate with a slice of lemon and enjoy!
